To support upcoming customer projects and industrialization activities, we are looking for a proactive Project & Industrialization Engineer to join our Development team in Karlovo. The position acts as the principal technical and project interface for assigned customers and coordinates the complete process from feasibility and BOM creation through industrialization, validation, PPAP, start of production, and ramp-up.

Main Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact and customer-facing representative for assigned customers on project, development, and industrialization topics.
• Collect, clarify, and translate customer requirements, drawings, specifications, standards, and deliverables into internal action plans.
• Create, verify, release, and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), routings, technical specifications, and engineering master data, including revisions and effectivity dates.
• Coordinate engineering change requests and notices, assess their impact on product, process, tooling, timing, cost, inventory, quality, and documentation, and ensure controlled implementation.
• Organize technical feasibility, manufacturability, and risk reviews with internal departments, suppliers, and external partners.
• Develop and maintain project timing plans, milestones, action lists, risk registers, deliverables, and regular status reports.
• Coordinate APQP activities and ensure that technical and project deliverables are aligned with customer requirements and agreed timing.
• Plan and coordinate prototypes, sample builds, process trials, validation activities, PPAP submissions, capacity confirmation, and production readiness.
• Coordinate industrialization and new product introduction from process concept and equipment preparation through trials, start of production, and ramp-up.
• Follow up tooling, equipment, fixtures, gauges, layouts, process flows, work instructions, technical documentation, and line readiness.
• Coordinate cycle-time, capacity, manpower, process parameter, and line-balancing assessments together with Production and Maintenance.
• Work closely with Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Maintenance, suppliers, external partners, and Hwaseung Group companies to ensure effective project execution.
• Identify project risks and technical issues, assess their impact, and drive timely escalation, corrective actions, and closure.
• Conduct customer and internal project meetings, prepare minutes and presentations, and maintain complete and controlled project documentation.
• Support post-launch stabilization, continuous improvement, lessons learned, and the formal transfer of projects to serial production.

Requirements

• University degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Relevant experience in project engineering, industrialization, new product introduction, product or process development, or manufacturing; automotive experience is preferred.
• Practical experience with BOMs, technical master data, revision control, and engineering change management.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, process flow, validation, and production launch readiness.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, tolerances, materials, and engineering requirements.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, cycle times, capacity, and process validation.
• Strong project coordination, planning, risk management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Confident customer communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills in an international environment.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, and good MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with CAD viewers, ERP, or PLM systems is an advantage; a proactive working style, strong ownership, and willingness to travel occasionally are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Tier 1 automotive supplier or in customer projects covering prototype, validation, PPAP, start of production, and ramp-up.
• Hands-on experience with industrialization, tooling or equipment readiness, capacity analysis, and process optimization.
• Experience maintaining BOM and engineering data in ERP or PLM systems used in serial manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating international customers, suppliers, partners, or multi-site project teams.
