What is DHL Freight ESS story?

DHL Freight Enterprise Software Solutions (ESS) is a key part of DHL’s Freight division, which specializes in overland freight forwarding services across Europe. Over the past nine years, DHL ESS has played a central role in the largest digital transformation within DHL Freight.

The ESS team, located in Sofia (Bulgaria) and Cologne (Germany), designs, develops, and maintains a comprehensive Transport Management System (TMS). The application has been successfully rolled out across more than 32 countries, fully replacing numerous legacy systems and significantly modernizing daily operations for thousands of employees. Since its inception, the DHL Freight ESS team has been involved not only in the implementation of business logic and technological evolution of the system, but also in project governance, organizational alignment, and the design of end-to-end business processes embedded in the application.

What you'll do

• Design, optimize, and execute test cases.
• Develop and maintain manual and automated test suites.
• Analyze, document, and track defects in a bug-tracking system.
• Participate actively in team meetings.
• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements.

What you'll bring

• At least 2 years of proven experience in software testing, with a strong understanding of the SDLC and STLC.
• Practical experience developing and maintaining automated tests. If the toolkit rely on Java or Python and Selenium – that is a bonus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to clearly articulate and discuss issues.
• Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in distributed teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Fluency in English.
