PLC & Industrial Automation Programmer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced PLC & Industrial Automation Programmer to join our engineering team and support the development, commissioning, and maintenance of automated warehouse and intralogistics systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for PLC software development, integration of industrial equipment, communication with higher-level control systems (WCS/WMS), commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated material handling solutions.

Key Responsibilities
PLC & Automation Programming

• Design, program, develop, test, commission and maintain PLC software for automated industrial control systems;
• Develop and maintain HMI and SCADA applications;
• Configure industrial networks and communication interfaces;
• Implement and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols.

Equipment Integration
Configure, control, and integrate:

• Conveyor systems;
• Packing and packaging equipment;
• Fixed and handheld barcode scanners;
• Vertical lifts and elevators;
• Shuttle systems;
• ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems);
• VFDs/Inverters and Servo Drive systems;
• Safety PLCs and machine safety systems.

Commissioning & Support

• Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT);
• Perform on-site commissioning and startup activities;
• Support customers during production ramp-up periods;
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, software, communication, and system integration issues;
• Provide remote and on-site technical support;
• Prepare commissioning reports and technical documentation.

Engineering & Documentation

• Produce functional design specifications and software design documentation;
• Develop electrical and automation documentation;
• Maintain software version control and change management processes;
• Prepare equipment operating manuals and troubleshooting guides;
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Degree or Technical Diploma in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field;
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation and PLC programming;
• Experience with SCADA platforms;
• Knowledge of functional safety systems, safety PLCs, and machine safety standards;
• Experience with industrial communication networks and fieldbus technologies;
• Proven experience in commissioning automated systems.

• Fluent English, both written and spoken;
• Valid driving license.
