Field Engineer Intern

Cobra Aeronautics is a leading international company specializing in the maintenance and overhaul of airport Ground Support Equipment (GSE), operating on the Bulgarian market under the name Bulgaria Maintenance ltd. Our service facilities perform complete refurbishment, electrification, and major repairs of equipment such as airport buses, passenger stairs, conveyor belts, platforms and transfer units, airport trucks, minibuses, and other specialized vehicles used in airside operations.

We are looking for a motivated Field Engineer & Maintenance Supervisor to join our team responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of aircraft ground support equipment (GSE) – including specialized airport vehicles and machinery.

This position is ideal for a 3rd–4th year student or a recent graduate in mechanical, electrical, or automotive engineering who wishes to gain practical experience and build a long-term career in airport technical maintenance and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of ground support vehicles and systems;

- Support diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems;

- Use maintenance management software to register incoming service requests and update work orders;

- Perform supervision and follow-up of active work orders to ensure quality and timely completion;

- Participate in field and workshop service activities under supervision;

- Prepare and maintain technical reports, service documentation, and spare parts records;

- Comply with safety and operational procedures within the airport area;

- International projects and Field Engineering.

Requirements:

- Student in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management (3rd–4th year) or recent graduate;

- Strong interest in the field of airport technical maintenance and vehicle systems;

- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components;

- Confidence in working with computer-based maintenance systems or databases;

- Good command of English (especially technical vocabulary). Spanish and Romanian is not a must but could be an advantage;

- Driving license Category B;

- Responsible, organized, and proactive approach to work;

- International outlook and desire to work on field at other international workshop stations.
