Quality Interns (Стажанти Качество)

INTEGRATED MICRO-ELECTRONICS BULGARIA is a high-tech manufacturing company, part of the structure of the world leader in the field of automotive, industrial, telecommunications and medical electronics – Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc (IMI). The global company has production and sales structures all over the world, located in the Philippines, China, Japan, Israel, USA, Mexico, Netherlands, Germany, France, Bulgaria and Serbia.

The production facilities in Bulgaria are located in the city of Botevgrad (IMI 1 plant, IMI 2 plant and Plastics workshop), and Integrated Micro-Electronics Bulgaria offers professional development to 1900 people from Botevgrad and the region. The company also has a Toolshop and Automation Departments in Botevgrad, which support the main production for assembly and testing of electronic modules.

Currently we are looking to employ 4 Interns to support our Quality Engineering teams in plants IMI 1 and IMI 2 in Botevgrad.

Main Activities:

• Get acquainted and involved in SPC, FMEA, PPAP activities and analysis for the projects/products in the respective plant;
• IATF 16949 standard knowledge;
• Participation in preparation of regular reports/analysis on scrap rate, level of defects and customer claims;
• Performing daily "Respect for the product" audits;
• Involved in ionic contamination measurements;
• Supporting Quality/SQA Engineers in creation and update of working instructions for visual inspection and other quality related documentation;
• Performing 5S audits, creating reports and update of 5S board in the production;
• Involved in incoming inspection of components and getting acquainted with the document flow and requirements for Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) activities;
• Collecting new IATF 16949 certificates from all approved suppliers; New revision of IMI SQA Manual to be sent to all suppliers and signed coppies to be collected on IMI internal database;
• Checking and update of golden samples for incoming inspection.

Requirements:

• Technical University student - preferably 3rd or 4th year student (Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Mechnical Engineering, Mechatronics or other);
• Very good command of English language – oral and written;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Computer literacy – MS Excel and MS Word;
• Knowledge on quality systems - ISO 9001, IATF16949 – considered an advantage;
• CAD software is an advantage.

• Duration of the internship: 2,5 - 3 months;
• Planned start of the internship: June/July 2026 (dates to be defined with selected applicants);
• Place of work – Botevgrad (company transport provided via shuttle cars from Sofia/Mezdra/Vratsa/Etropole);
• The internship is paid and requires full-time presence in the plant during the work week.
